Day 1 - Departure:
Evening departure via scheduled airline.
Day 2 - Barcelona:
Upon arrival, you will be met by an IC representative and transferred to your hotel. A group lunch will be followed by light orientation sightseeing.
Day 3 - Barcelona - City Tour:
Today enjoy a half day tour of the capital of Cataluña, where you will see its' Cathedral, Gothic Quarter, Town Hall, Chamber of Deputies, and Montjuich Mountain. Later, visit “El Pueblo Español” to see replicas of Spain’s most typical  villages. Your afternoon is free to walk along Las Ramblas. A group dinner is included.
Day 4 - Barcelona - Gaudí and Picasso Museums:
Your morning is free for shopping at El Corte Inglés or any of the wide variety of interesting catalonian shops, or you may choose to walk along Las Ramblas, see the flower stalls, the booksellers, or the mimes which line this fabulous promenade. In the afternoon your tour takes you along el Paseo de Gracia for a panoramic view of the city with special emphasis on the unique and exciting architecture of Gaudí. La Casa Batlló, Casa Mila and the famous Sagrada Familia are all viewed. Then a stop at El Museum Gaudí is made. The culmination of the day is a visit to the Picasso Museum.
Day 5 - Barcelona - Montserrat - Madrid:
Travel today on a half day excursion to the Monastery of Montserrat, where you will see the “Moreneta” — patron saint of Cataluña. Return to Barcelona. Afternoon transfer to the airport for your brief flight to Madrid. Upon arrival, you are met by an IC representative and transferred to your hotel. A group dinner and orientation of Madrid highlights the evening.
Day 6 - Madrid - Royal Palace - Prado Museum:
Your morning tour includes the Royal Palace and Prado Museum. In the afternoon relax, shop, or see other places of interest. A group dinner is included.
Day 7 - Madrid-Toledo-El Escorial -Valle De Los Caídos:
Morning tour of Toledo includes a visit the Cathedral, Santo Tomé Church, and El Greco’s most famous painting, “The Burial of the Count Orgaz,” the Synagogue, Bisagra’s Gate, Alcántara’s Bridge and the Alcázar. After lunch, on to El Escorial, the 16th century monastery-palace and El Valle de los Caídos, Spain’s tribute to those who died during  the 1930s Civil War. Late afternoon return to Madrid.  A
group dinner is scheduled.
Day 8 - Madrid - Avila - Segovia:
Today tour Avila, the birthplace of St. Teresa, where you will visit St. Teresa’s Temple, the Convent of St. Thomas and the Cathedral. Then, on to the typically Castillian city of Segovia, with its universally famous Roman Aqueduct and its magnificent Alcázar. A group lunch is included. Late afternoon return to Madrid. A special dinner concludes your tour of Spain
Day 9 - Departure:
Transfer by private coach to the airport for your return flight.
