Day 1 – Departure:

Evening departure. Dinner and breakfast served on board.

Day 2 - Madrid:

Upon arrival, you will be met by an IC representative and transferred to your hotel. Light sightseeing begins your Spanish adventure. You will have a group arrival lunch and group dinner.

Day 3 - Madrid - Royal Palace - Prado Museum:

Your morning guided tour including the Royal Palace and Prado Museum. In the afternoon relax, shop, or see other places of interest. Group dinner is scheduled for this evening.

Day 4 - Madrid - Avila - Segovia:

Today you will tour Avila, the birthplace of St. Teresa, where you will visit St. Teresa’s Temple, the Convent of St. Thomas and the Cathedral. Then, travel to the typically Castillian city of Segovia, with its universally famous Roman Aqueduct and its magnificent Alcázar. A group lunch is included. A late afternoon returns you to Madrid.

Day 5 - Madrid - El Escorial - Valle De Los Caídos:

Today travel to El Escorial, the 16th century monastery - palace commissioned by Philip II. Afterwards, your excursion continues on to El Valle de los Caídos, Spain’s tribute to those who died during its Civil War. Afternoon return to Madrid.

Day 6 - Madrid - Toledo:

A morning tour takes you to Toledo where you will visit the Cathedral, Santo Tomé Church, and see El Greco’s most famous painting, “The Burial of the Count Orgaz,” the Synagogue, Bisagra’s Gate, Alcántara’s Bridge and the Alcázar. Afternoon return to Madrid.

Day 7 - Madrid:

You will have a full day to pursue sightseeing, shopping, the theater, or even see a “Zarzuela” – a typical Spanish Comic Opera. A special theme dinner concludes your tour.

Day 8 - Departure:

A private transfers you to the airport and the return flight to the US.
